Martial Arts
Our martial arts training will provide you with the self defense confidence when dealing with opponents that put up a standing aggression and dealing with opponents when their aggression ends up on the ground. A good ground defense starts with our grappling classes where you will learn the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling techniques. For a good standing defense our striking classes will provide you with the fundamentals of Boxing, Muay Thai and Kickboxing techniques.
Fitness Benefits
With any combat sport, dedicated participation and training will provide fitness benefits beyond a typical gym workout. Much of what you're attempting to achieve in the gym will be fulfilled on the mats. Along with being a great functional strength workout, you'll also achieve improved flexibility and increased endurance. These are attributes that will benefit you on a daily basis.
Child Development
Kids will learn to develop improved coordination, fine motor skills, and spatial awareness. The forced repetitions of these techniques during training will help your kids commit those movements to muscle memory for long lasting self defense they will take into adulthood.
Have Fun!
Make your martial arts training fun! We all have good days and bad days. Attendance at each class is not mandatory. You are not obligated to attend any more classes than you feel you can handle each week. We have several classes each week to choose from. We do recommend attending at least two classes a week to steadily improve your skills. You can still train every class day if you like.
Membership
Your membership with Street Jitsu includes unlimited Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, Kickboxing and Muay Thai classes. This membership includes access to the Justin, Roanoke and Dallas gyms.
Private Training
Private training is available from the coaching staff. Coaches are available during gym hours. Stop in to meet the coaches, get their contact information and discuss their availability and prices. Each coach may charge differently based on their experience level. You can choose a coach based on your budget.
A self-defense martial art and combat sport based on grappling, ground fighting and submission holds. It focuses on the skill of controlling one's opponent, gaining a dominant position and using a number of techniques to force them in to submission via joint locks or chokeholds.
Boxing
A combat sport in which two people, usually wearing protective gloves, throw punches at each other for a predetermined amount of time in a boxing ring.
Muay Thai
a combat sport of Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. This discipline is known as the "art of eight limbs" as it is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees, and shins.
